Powder Brows @ Mighty Tweezers

Today I had the pleasure of going along to Irene at the Mighty Tweezers in Waterford. For those of you who were clients of mine, you will know Irene as she has taken over my clients treatments from me. Irene recently trained in Microblading before continuing on to more advanced training using the mechanical shading technique. This technique uses cutting edge technology to give a more natural look to your brows. Known as ‘powder brows’ the procedure is painless and Irene is a perfectionist with an amazing eye for detail

Prepping for your procedure

Before your treatment you need to gently wash you eyebrows to remove any debris and bacteria. It is best to attend your appointment without any makeup on, Irene will be moving around your face and the make up will make your brows less hygienic. Irene cleanses and applies antiseptic to the brows to ensure they are completely clean and sterile.

Measuring

Irene then measures and shades the areas that she wants to treat, this takes longer than expected because Irene ensures that the entire brow is measured and compared with each other. She then shapes out the brow for you to inspect. When you are happy with the shape Irene measures again and goes through your consultation in detail.

The procedure

Irene uses a German made state of the art machine (it resembles a little electric pen) the machine is the best on the market. Irene only invests in the best brands and training for her business. She then applies a numbing cream and when the area is numb she starts the procedure. I didn’t feel a thing! It was literally painless, so much so that I promptly fell fast asleep!

How does it work

The machine works by pushing the pigment into the upper layers of the skin using s fine needle attached to the machine I mentioned, you will require a top up within six weeks and then your brows are perfect for a year/year and a half!

aftercare Irene went through my aftercare theoroughly and gave me an adtercsre kit. I will dab a sterile solution to my brows and then apply a healing balm after. Healing

My brows will take about 7-10 days to heal, at first they will appear much darker than the finished result, and within 6 weeks the colour of the brow will fade 50% then I will return for my correction appointment as it’s called. This is where Irene examines the pigment and the shape and then touches them up to ensure they last the year.

Results I am am delighted with my brows and I am so impressed by Irene’s talent and attention to detail. Irene is offering s special offer jntil the end of May on her powder brow treatment. Feel free to get in touch with Irene at aftercare
